Paper Mache Beads
Paper mache beads are will keep your child amused for quite a while. Not only do they take time to make but you can also paint them and then make jewelry out of them.
You Will Need
.Water
.1/4 cup flour
.Saucepan
.Bowl
.Container
.Scissors
.Newspaper
.Knitting needle
.Acrylic paints
.Paintbrush
.Varnish
First of all make up some paper-mache paste by boiling 5 cups of water in a saucepan. Measure the flour into a small bowl. Stir in 1 cup of water to make a runny mix. Stir this mix into the boiling water. Boil for 2-3 minutes. Let cool before using it.
Pour the paper mache paste into a container. Cut newspaper into long narro triangles. Each triangle will make a bead. Dip each triangle into the paste and then coil it around a knitting needle to make the bead. Start with the pointy edge and wrap on top of itself.
Slip the bead off the needle and leave to dry. When dry paint and varnish.
